Hello Lucas here how is everybody doing? For the last 30 years I have struggled with limitations of my cerebral palsy one limitation is it takes me five times longer to type e-mails papers letters or just about anything 15 years ago Dragon NaturallySpeaking hit the scene its accuracy was pretty horrible 15 years later I’m sitting here talking to you and my computer typing if it works this well for a person with cerebral palsy why isn’t the rest of the world talking to the computer yes it is kind of expensive but for this technology the possibilities are endless. I grew up watching Captain Kirk and Scotty from Star Trek talking to the computers back then I never thought it was possible to do such a thing am I the only person who thinks regardless of what platform you use whether it’s Windows, Mac OS or Linux you should have the ability to talk to your computer. Now that I can dictate to my computer you can expect more posts on my web page that is all for now

You may notice on the front of the website it says we are currently off-air. Pay no attention to that…we are in the middle of a stream upgrade, so the front end hasn’t been fixed yet. Yes, that’s right, Gimp radio is going to sound better. We now have two streams for your listening pleasure. A 32K for dial-up, and a 96K for broadband. We’re still in the testing phases, at least for another week or so, so I would like as much feedback as possible. To contact me directly, email programdirector@gimpradio.com.

Hey everybody! What’s going on? There’s something missing today…it’s that groovy sound. The sound that makes you want to twist up a fat one and just get ripped. You know what I mean, it never gets played on the radio. But apparently, if you have a generator and enough balls, the groove is alive and well on the sidewalk of NYC. Check out the band, The Last Broadcast. To find out more info, go to www.myspace.com/theverylastbroadcast. It’s definitely a must-hear.

Yesterday afternoon, the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals denied allWebcasters’ motions for stay of the 2006-2010 royalty rates and terms. This means that with only a few days remaining before the July 15deadline, we really need to turn the heat up in Congress. Otherwise, starting Monday morning you will see a rapid decline of streaming musicservices as Webcasters large and small go silent one by one. Are you a loyal fan of Internet radio? If so, then we really need yourassistance! Please telephone your Representative and Senators urgingthem to co-sponsor the Internet Radio Equality Act today. Even ifthey’ve already pledged their support for H.R. 2060 or S. 1353, pressurethem to call for an immediate floor vote of this bill. http://www.savenetradio.org/ Please understand, this is not the time to be complacent. Every singlevoice counts. However, we can only be heard if we speak up loud andclear to the people that matter. Our lawmakers must understand theimportance that Internet radio plays in the lives of the American people– and their constituents.

The Fourth of July adventure begins…Off to SummerFest to see the almighty Tool. For those of you who have never seen Tool before, there are four giant
video screens behind the band showing trippy acid-induced footage while the band hits you with their sonic wave. This show was no different. Being that I am in a wheelchair, I had a seat that was up off the floor with no obstructions in front of me. Maynard hid in the shadows, as expected. During the song Lateralus, Danny Carey invited a fan up on stage to dual drum on the song. If you ever get a chance to see these guys live, it’s a must. Don’t forget to take time out to watch what the lasers are doing while they’re playing.
If I haven’t said it yet, all in all it was a damn good show!
To the right is a copy of the actual set list:
Following the show, we were talking to this young woman who was wearing a Tool Army T-shirt. We found out she is from Texas and that she’s semi-famous. So I asked her how. She said she was a porn star. We all kind of went, “Yea, uh-huh sure”. Being the skeptics we are, we decided to do some research. And much to our amazement, she wasn’t lying. Here you go! Sorry for getting you lost in Milwaukee while trying to find your car. “Was that the right car?”
